The Fiona Munroe Ballet & Dance Studio was opened in 1999. The Gold Coast Dancers Company Inc. was created in 2001. It was renamed in April 2011 when the Company moved to Northern NSW and is now known as THE NORTHERN RIVERS BALLET COMPANY.

The high standards of the Studio have seen 22 former students prepared for professional Vocational training in both Australia & overseas institutions such as:

The Australian Ballet School,Melbourne (6 students)
New Zealand School of Dance (3 students)
Central School of Ballet, London (2)
West Australian Academy of Performing Arts
Zurich Ballet School, Switzerland
Victorian College of the Arts
Dresden Ballet School, Germany
Mannheim Ballet School, Germany
Basel Ballet, Switzerland
Munich Ballet School

Many of these dancers are now performing professionally in Europe, America & Australia.
